Must See Locos and Units

Here you will find a comprehensive list of Locomotives and Multiple Units with those special liveries or names that are just a must see for every enthusiast

To perk us all up a bit during this ongoing pandemic, for now, this section will be dedicated to those locos and units which have been used to show the deserved thanks to the NHS as well as other figures who have been inspirational during these dark times. 

Locomotives:

43021 - ScotRail have applied a mask vinyl to the front of this power car.

43129 ScotRail have applied a mask vinyl to the front of this power car.

43145 - ScotRail have applied a mask vinyl to the front of this power car.

43181 ScotRail have applied a mask vinyl to the front of this power car.

47813 - "Thank You NHS" vinyls added to Rail Operations Group livery.

47815 - "Thank You NHS" vinyls added to Rail Operations Group livery.

47848 - "Thank You NHS" vinyls added to Rail Operations Group livery.

66113 - DB Cargo have added "Delivering For Our Key Workers" decals, including a very colourful image depicting all of the different key workers who have helped to keep the UK safe during the covid crisis.

66731 - GB Railfreight have renamed this loco "Capt. Tom Moore - A True British Inspiration" to recognise the immense efforts our very own Captain Sir Tom Moore went to in walking, then walking some more, and then not stopping with his walking and going on to raise £32 million for NHS charities around the UK at the grand old age of 100. And on top of this renaming, GBRf went a step further by amending the livery of this loco to a Hospital Blue colour with "Thanks NHS" decals.

90014 - Renamed "Over The Rainbow" by Freightliner in recognition of all of the Key Workers who have kept us going through the pandemic.

Multiple Units:

158860 - Northern have added a "NHS We Thank You" logo to the livery of this unit.

377111 - Southern have applied "NHS We Thank You" vinyls to this unit. Unit number 111 chosen as a link to the 111 NHS helpline number.

390042 - Avanti West Coast have added a mask vinyl to each end of this Pendolino and added "Safe Travels. Wear A Face Covering" vinyls to each driving coach.

390122 - Avanti West Coast have added a mask vinyl to each end of this Pendolino and added "Safe Travels. Wear A Face Covering" vinyls to each driving coach.

395002 - Southeastern have added a mask vinyl to each end of this unit.

395017 - Southeastern have added a mask vinyl to each end of this unit.

 

700111 - Thameslink have applied "NHS We Thank You" vinyls to this unit. Unit number 111 chosen as a link to the 111 NHS helpline number.

717011 - Great Northern have applied "NHS We Thank You" vinyls to this unit. Unit number 011 chosen as a link to the 111 NHS helpline number.

800025 - Great Western Railway have renamed this IET "Captain Tom Moore" in honour of the military veteran and his fundraising escapades which gave raised £32 million for NHS charities around the UK.

800321 - Great Western Railway have added a mask vinyl to each end of this IET.

802020 - Great Western Railway have added a "NHS Key Workers" livery to each of the driving coaches of this IET.

We all love to see different liveries and named locos/units and these are all there to be seen, photographed, videoed and enjoyed. Equally, they are a reminder that this virus has not yet gone away so make sure to follow the guidelines in your local area and please stay safe!
